Office of Human Life, Family and Bioethics “Respect Life!” Opens With Consecration to the Blessed Mother

On the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Thursday December 12, 2019 the Office of Human Life, Family and Bioethics team, Dr. Lisa Honkanen, Donna Crean and Pat Fox consecrated themselves, the important mission of the office and the whole Diocese to our Blessed Mother.

Fr. John McCartney blessed us and the office as we pledged ourselves under Our Lady of Guadalupe’s patronage to profess courageously and at all times the truths of our Holy Catholic Faith.

A special promise was made to Our Lady that we will do all in our power, aided by God’s grace to protect and enhance the sacredness of all human life, from the moment of natural conception to the moment of natural death, and to strive to transform the Culture of Death in which we live, into the Culture of Life which the Lord intends.

We entrust all to the Immaculate Heart of Mary so that through her we will fulfill all that our Lord Jesus is calling us to do to bring about His Kingdom here on earth. In compassion and love, may we bring, Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE to those we serve and encounter so that God will be glorified in all we do.
