  • The Culture Project Vision

    The Culture Project VisionImage5

It happened that a group of friends were brought together by a common experience, and from that experience came a common dream.

The experience was the same, though in different forms, textures, and places around the world. It was savoring a glass of red wine under the New York City skyline or trekking through the paths of the Pocono mountains; it was sitting in an old church or walking along the oceanside; it was reciting poetry or crafting a piece of music or falling in love; it was the personal experience of pressing against reality and finding deep questions and longings aroused. Among the raw questions and desires, one thing remained certain – they had fallen in love with something greater than themselves.

With great teachers like John Paul II, these friends began to make sense of their experiences: love is humanizing; love, and the experience of virtue in its entirety, actually makes you more human. And falling in love makes everything beautiful. These friends began to dream of a society that was in love, a culture that is more human because of the way it loved. These friends began to dream of a beautiful culture.

Thus, The Culture Project was born. The Culture Project envisions a world where the dignity of the human person is at the forefront of every relationship, law, and societal structure. We dream of a society where passion for fidelity and commitment glues husbands to wives, fathers to mothers, and parents to children. We dream of a place where the beauty of sexuality is upheld and love is not cheapened by ugly counterfeits. We dream of a culture where people are honest with their struggles and share their stories to strengthen solidarity in a community, journeying as friends and lovers, rejecting isolation and abandonment on our paths to greatness. We believe in the utter greatness of humanity and its infinite potential.

And so we have set out to follow our dreams of restoring culture. Through conversation, friendship, and community, we will share these messages with our peers around the world with the hope of rebuilding a beautiful culture. It all begins with falling in love.

  • What Does The Culture Project Do

What Does The Culture Project Do

The Culture Project International is an initiative of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue.  We proclaim the dignity of the human person and the richness of livingImage4 sexual integrity, inviting our culture to become fully alive!  Members of our team make a commitment of at least one year of their life to enter into a program in which they themselves live and pray in community, receive formation and are sent out on missions nationally and internationally. We give presentations to youth about the dignity of the human person and about sexual integrity. Our presentations are suitable for a variety of different settings: the classroom, auditorium,  youth groups, rallies, etc.

  • Human Dignity & Sexual Integrity Presentations

    HUMAN DIGNITY

This presentation is crafted to engage student’s minds and hearts so as to uncover the inherent worth of the human person. Through story-telling, real life examples, natural law and scientific evidence, we pose the question: what is it about human beings that set them apart from the rest of the created world? Here we define human dignity as the innate value inherent to human beings. We address the violations of this dignity, including one of the most tragic of our day: abortion. We sift through the misperceptions held about the preborn child and reveal the true beauty of preborn human life by showing stunning images and video footage of fetal development. We emphasize the healing, hope, and forgiveness available to those who are post-abortive. Finally, we finish with an inspiring story designed to empower the students to join us in restoring our culture. There are no graphic images of abortion in this presentation

    SEXUAL INTEGRITY

Why does happiness and love so often seem unattainable? Why do the self-serving promises of today leave our lives colorless, ugly, and unfulfilled? Here we open up the world of beauty found in a life of virtue, particularly, the virtue of chastity. We dissolve the old-world confusion about the virtue as a “restraining” list of rules and illuminate the freedom found in this lifestyle. We get real about the genuine struggles we experience as young men and women looking for love and happiness. We address the deeper meaning of sex, the purpose of our sexual desire, and our sexual identity as male and female. We share practical tips about how to channel our natural desires towards authentic love. We believe in the power we possess as men and women to make bold and virtuous choices about our relationships, and so lead a life of greatness.
